when insecurity attacks


you know your not beautiful, you know that you dont have the body nor the face that could launch a thousand ships. still, you hold on that other people might at least notice that behind this ugly facade there is still that pure beauty that must be seen.


yeah sure, some people know and see the beauty in side you. some other people just treats you the way you are suppose to be treated. some other people gives you the respect that you know you ought to recieve and some other people just makes you feel your beautiful inside and out.

when i say "other people" i ment friends, classmates, people at the mall, teachers, passer by, or just anyone you see at the mall.
yes..other people. other people. OTHER PEOPLE.
not your family.

the saddest part and saddest truth is that most of the times insecurities really starts at home. it is when for your family or for your brothers and sisters and even for your parents you are not beautiful enough. yeah sure they might tell you that you are beautiful and this and that etc but somehow you get the feeling that they only tell that because its there job to say that.

i mean why can't you just be enough for them? why do they have to notice all the ugliness in your body or all the imperfection in your face, in your nose, in your neck, in your skin and to your entire body.

why can't they just be like those other people. why can't they just complement you for the way you are.

so now you go home, you see your mom, and then suddenly she tell you your the fattest or the ugliest woman in the world. and would even laugh at you. wouldnt that be hurtful?


why can't you just be enough?

for many years, sarah has been living for other people. but now she gets to live for herself. she gets to do things not because those things are the things that will make the people around her happy but because those things are the things that will make herself happy.

sarah is going to live for herself and she will be happy.
